AIR SOURCE
HEAT PUMPS

WHAT IS AN AIR SOURCE HEAT PUMP?

  • An air source heat pump is an alternative heating solution for your hot tub. It uses refrigerant gas to warm your tub much more efficiently than a typical hot tub heater, with up to 75% higher efficiency and an average money-saving of 50-60%.

HOW DOES AN AIR SOURCE HEAT PUMP WORK?

  • The heat pump draws air over the radiator, which is filled with refrigerant gas. This causes the gas to warm up and turn into a gas. Then, the gas is compressed, significantly increasing its temperature. The gas is then passed into a heat exchanger, which transfers the heat to your hot tub. After that, the gas cools down, and the process repeats.

WHAT ARE THE BENIFITS OF AN AIR SOURCE HEAT PUMP?

  • Saving you money on your energy bills !

  • Better for the environment !

  • Higher output of heat per kW than a traditional heater.

HOW MUCH DOES AN AIR SOURCE HEAT PUMP COST?

  • Our Vian Heat Pumps start from £1199 , This includes delivery , installation & all pipework.  (Pipework for installations up to 2M from the tub)

  • They can be up to 75% more efficient* than your standard heater so will save you money over time , essentially paying for its self and a return on your investment.

*We cannot guarantee that every hot tub installation would show the same results as there are many factors that can effect the actual cost , however this is a average expected saving !

INSTALLATION REQUIRMENTS

ELECTRICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Typically the air source heat pump will not need an additional electrical supply as it will use power from the hot tub or swimspa supply.

  • Can be fitted to 13AMP or 32AMP systems

  • Additional power may be needed on a 13AMP system if you want to use both the heat pump & standard heater.

FITTING & PLANNING
Every hot tub is unique, and the installation of a heat pump will vary depending on factors such as the tub itself, its location, and where the heat pump needs to be placed.

If your hot tub isn't already heat pump ready, modifications will be needed to allow for an inlet and outlet. Don't worry though! We offer a free Energy Survey where we'll assess your setup and discuss your preferences. Based on that, we'll plan the ideal location for the heat pump and explore any other energy-saving options you might have.

HEAT PUMP LOCATION

  • Heat pumps require a certain amount of space around them to work efficiently - they also need to be away from each other if you have more than one.
    450mm inlet clearance & 1500mm outlet clearance.
